| Introduction: An encounter is the focal point of this application. Note that there can be many encounters per patient. The Encounter screen shows details about a specific (selected) encounter. A Table of Contents appears on this page with many options. A doctor can select a patient from the Schedule shown on the Home page. The system creates a new encounter for the selected patient if it does not exist, and comes to the Patient Encounter page. The selected patient details are shown in a Patient Band. Patient Band: Patient details like Name, Last Visit, Encounter Type, Encounter Date, Encounter Location, DOB, Next Appointment, Attending Provider, and Patient Address are displayed in the Patient Band beneath the Patient sub-menu. These fields can be configured in the property, Encounter patientband.tag.rX.cX. The user can configure up to two rows and five columns. The background color of the Patient Band determines whether the patient encounter is current or past. The color of the Patient Band is displayed in blue if the encounter is open, whereas if the encounter is closed, the background color is displayed in grey. If it is a Face Sheet encounter, then the background color of the Patient Band is displayed in yellow. Icons on the RHS of the Patient Band The Case Management, Patient Alert, Patient Notes, and Patient Appointment Workflow icons are provided as shortcuts to access the respective screens from the Patient Band. The Encounter TOC displays the menu options that are configured by the user. Along with the encounter menu options, an icon is also displayed adjacent to all the menu options. On clicking the required option, the user is redirected to the respective screen. The Face Sheet screen is the default screen that is displayed when a user lands on the Patient Encounter screen. Face Sheet: Important patient encounter details are displayed in the Face Sheet cells beneath the Patient Band on the RHS. The Face Sheet gives a quick summary of the patient's medical history at a glance. This is the default screen that is displayed when an encounter is started. The Admin or Support Admin user can configure 16 Face Sheet cells with the help of the Manage Layout icon. |
