Topics Vital Signs Search:
The first thing a nurse needs to do when a patient walks in is to take all vital signs.

Template: Select the required template (attending doctor-specific and clinic-specific). Typically, there would be only one template.

Systems List:

System Names: The list of all body systems applicable to the selected template is shown here. Click on any row to make a system current.

Checkbox: A checkmark appears before the system name if one or more tests are selected (all are selected by default).

Tests:

Elements corresponding to the selected template are displayed. The user can enter all details for the elements listed. For tests with the result type Numeric or Fraction, a calculator button is provided.

When the result type is 'master search' and its value is 'ICD', the ICD-10 information is displayed in the tooltip.

Remarks: Notes can also be entered with more details about the system. Click the Phrases icon to select from the list of predefined phrases and add them to the notes. The different types of phrases used in PrognoCIS are displayed by category. The user can perform a search based on the category, phrase title, and/or textual search, or a search based on keywords. The user can insert single or multiple phrases by selecting single or multiple checkboxes.

Having done this, click Save. Or, clicking HPI saves the entries made in Vitals automatically.

Vitals Matrix Icon : Click the icon to view the Vitals Matrix, which displays the vitals results of the current as well as past encounters.

Copy Button: This button is available at all times, but will be enabled only if the encounter is live, the user has modify rights, or the Save button is disabled. Click this to invoke a relevant search.
It will display a list of encounters for the patient having similar data.
The tests and details are copied only if test details are not entered in the current encounter.

Hint: The tag <LBSOZ> prints the text "Pounds" as the unit of weight entered on the Progress Notes.

Grid Tests:

When the template contains a grid-defined system, it enables the "Grid Tests..." button shown next to the template selection. Clicking the button opens a popup with a matrix of selected tests and occurrences.

Notes: You can efficiently add standardized content using Fast Phrases. By typing an #acronym and pressing Tab, the phrase expands inline, or you can select phrases using the Search Phrases icon next to the Notes field. Text entered in Notes can be saved instantly using the Add Fast Phrases option, which appears when text is selected. The same Fast Phrase functionality is available in the expanded Notes popup opened via the Zoom Notes icon. Frequently used Fast Phrases are automatically shown as favorite acronyms, enabling quicker access and faster documentation within each section.
