Topics Patient Refund Search:  
Introduction
The screen ‘Patient Refund’ has been introduced in PrognoCIS so that advances can be refunded back to Patients. On ‘Patient Refund’ screen provision has been given to the user to select credit amount (from different claims), which has to be refunded to the Patient.

Patient Voucher No: On selecting the Patient Name from the Pay to Patient field, the number gets automatically generated on clicking the button 'save'. The prefix displayed for the Insurance Refund Voucher No. is based on a property era.ins.refund.voucherno.prefix .

Voucher Date:
Enter the date on which the voucher was created. By default the current date is displayed in the field which can be changed either manually or by clicking on the calendar icon present next to the field.  

Advance Amount: On selection of the Patient name, the advance amount of that Patient gets auto populate in the field. The field remain disabled for manual changes.

Pay to Patient: Select the Patient from the search icon or type in the patient name in the Pay to Patient field. This is a mandatory field with a red asterisk mark.

Payment Mode:
Select the Mode of payment from the dropdown. The options available in the dropdown are Check, Cash or Credit Card. The appropriate option can be selected from the dropdown.

Check No:
This field is enabled when Payment Mode Check option is selected in Payment Mode , or else for Cash and Credit Card option the field remain disabled. Enter check no in the field. Check No. is mandatory when PayMode is set to Check.

Check Date:
This field is enabled when Payment Mode Check option is selected in Payment Mode , or else for Cash and Credit Card the field remain disabled. Enter the date mentioned on the check.

Credit Card:
When the Credit Card option is selected, a new three dotted button is displayed which helps the users to document details for Credit Card on Patient  Refund screen.When Credit Card option is selected, the fields Check No, Check Date are disabled. A three dotted button is displayed next to the payment option is enabled where one would be able to document Details for Credit Card such as Card No, Card Holder and Card type if appropriate.

Refund Amount:
After entering all the above details button 'save' get enabled. Further, clicking on button 'save' the option Refund Amount is shown with a hyperlink. Clicking on the hyperlink invokes a pop up displaying the details, such as Adv Amt, Bal Amt, Used Amt, Loc, BU, Rendering Doc and Attending Doc. Based on the Adv Amt and Bal Amt, Used Amt can be entered in the field and on clicking the button 'ok' the same amount is displayed in Refund Amount field. This field is a mandatory field.
Note: Used Amount can never be more than the Bal Amount. In case user enter the Used Amount more than the Bal Amt then a validation message is displayed saying 'Used Amount Is Greater Than Balance Amount'.

Remarks:
This is not a mandatory field but user can add any important comment if they want in this field for reference.

Ready To Post: Once all the details are entered, user can check the checkbox Ready To Post and the refund voucher is Posted.
Action Buttons:

SAVE button:
Click the SAVE button, to save the refund details.

DELETE button: Click the DELETE button, to delete the refund voucher.

RESET button: Click the RESET button, to reset the refund details.
