Topics Text Reminder Setup for Medics Search:  
Introduction: Medics have the provision to receive text reminders on their cell phones regarding a patient's upcoming appointment if the appointment has been scheduled by the patient from the portals (Patient Portal Web, Referring Provider Portal, Attorney Portal, PrognoPass, and Book Appointment Page) or the Patient Portal App (My Health Records App, or the Book Appointment Page embedded on the My Health Records App). Medics include either a Provider, Clinical Staff, a Medical Assistant, or Admin Staff. It is required that the medics' availability is defined in PrognoCIS from the Location Master. Only those medics who have been defined on the Text Reminder Setup for Medics popup on the Location Master will receive appointment text reminders on their cell phones (via the AT&T network).
In the case of a Single Location and Hybrid Location clinic setup, the Text Reminder Setup for Medics popup is available on the Location Master for the clinic location with the location code CL, but in the case of a Multi-Location clinic setup, the Text Reminder Setup for Medics popup is available on the Location Master of all clinic locations.

Field Description:

Location: Select the location of the medics (i.e., Providers and resource personnel) from the dropdown list. In the case of a Single Location and Hybrid Location clinic setup, the default value in this field is All. In the case of a Multi-Location clinic setup, the value All is not available in the Location dropdown, and by default, the location with which the user is logged in is displayed in the field.

Start Date: Click the calendar icon to select the medics' availability start date.

End Date: Click the calendar icon to select the medics' availability up to date.

From: Select the start time of the medics' availability in hours and minutes from the dropdown list.

To: Select the end time of the medics' availability in hours and minutes from the dropdown list.

Medics: Click the search icon to select the medics who are available in the configured time slot.

Note: In the case of a Multi-Location clinic setup, the Medics search popup is populated with only those medics who are configured for the selected location in the Location dropdown list. If the value in the Location field is changed, then the values in the Medics search popup also change accordingly and reflect only those medics who are configured for the changed location.

Note: It is required that the selected medics have their cell phone numbers entered in their respective records in the Medic Master (GoTo tab: Settings Configuration under the Medics column Providers/Medical Assistant/Clinical Staff/Admin Staff); if the cell phone number is missing for a medic, then even though the medic is selected to receive the text message, the text message is not sent.

Action Buttons:

Save button: Click the Save button to save the changes made in the Text Reminder Setup for Medics popup.

Cancel button: Click the Cancel button to close the popup without saving the data.
