| Introduction: A list of vaccinations is defined from the Vaccination Screen. A doctor can vaccinate
a patient immediately, or schedule a vaccination at a later date. The
doctor decides if a person needs a vaccination depending on various factors
like the patient's age, job, likely travel destinations, and prevailing ailments in
the region. The Vaccination Screen tracks all the vaccination shots taken by the
patient. Field Description: Properties: This button is exclusively visible to users with read access to the Properties Master Screen. Access to this button is strategically granted to enhance user functionality. Clicking the Properties button triggers a popup, presenting a list of properties from the
Properties
Master Screen in PrognoCIS that cater to Immunization/Vaccination.
Schedule Tab No Known Vaccination History: This checkbox is enabled only if there are no vaccination records present for that patient. Registry: Click this button to view the immunization history and forecast details for the patient present in the Registry. Clicking the Import Hist. button on the Evaluated Immunization History and Forecast popup imports the latest immunization details for that patient present with the Registry. By clicking the Print button, the immunization history and forecast details for the patient are printed. Response Log: Click this button to view the log of HL7 messages for imports and exports done with the Registry. Schedule Tab: The vaccinations scheduled and constituents administered across multiple encounters in the case of combo vaccines for the patient are displayed on this tab. Each and every constituent administered is traced, and the dose count is also displayed on this tab. Del: Select the Del checkbox of the respective vaccination and click Save to delete the vaccination record. Vaccine: Displays the name of the added vaccine. To add a vaccine, click the + icon, which invokes the vaccine search popup. Select the vaccine from the search list and add it to the Vaccination Screen. On selecting a vaccination, the system assigns the dose number in the Dose column. Dose: This field displays the vaccine dosage. The information under this field is auto-populated once the vaccine is added.
Sch Date: This is the scheduled date on which the vaccination is due. Adm When: This is a free-text field; i.e., the user can enter a date which does not need to be an exact date (for example, "Jan 2000" is acceptable). Alternatively, the user may click the Calendar icon to select a valid date. If the CVX code is blank for a vaccine, then this field is disabled for the user to restrict administering such vaccines, and a tooltip, 'CVX code is missing', is displayed. Administer: Click Administer to proceed with administering the vaccine. This invokes the 'Administer Vaccine' popup, where you can enter the required details. Records Tab The record of vaccinations administered in previous encounters is displayed on the Records Tab. Vaccinations are listed by due date in descending order. Overdue vaccinations are shown in a different color on the Facesheet to highlight them.
Action Buttons Ok: Click the Ok button to save the details Cancel: Click the Cancel button to cancel any changes made before saving. History...: Click the History... button to invoke the Current Vaccination History popup, which lists the column details fetched from the Administer Vaccine popup. Print: Click the Print button to print the Vaccination Screen details. 1. An HL7 property, vaccination.export.by, ensures that the correct sequence of CVX and CPT codes of the vaccination is followed at the time of the vaccination export. In the absence of both CVX and associated CPT codes, the system does not export any information. 2. Depending on the property, vaccination.schedule.for.maxyears , a maximum number of scheduled vaccines is displayed on the Vaccination Screen. If a value (in years) is set in this property, the system calculates the schedule based on the patient's current age and the value set in the property, and displays the patient's vaccination details accordingly. For example, if the patient's age is 2 years and the property has the value set to 10, then the patient's vaccinations up to the age of 12 are displayed on the Vaccination Screen. The property accepts a maximum value of 25 years. 3. If the property, export.vacc.createHL7Message is set to 'Y' and the property, export.vacc.MUVersion is set to 'MU3', then the vaccination messages are exported according to the 2015 MU version. However, if the property, export.vacc.MUVersion is left blank, then the vaccination messages are exported according to the 2014 MU version. |
