Topics Complete/Sign-Off Encounters Popup Search:
Introduction: This feature enables the user to select encounters from a desired time period in bulk and mark them as Complete/Sign-Off. The sub-menu Sign-Off Encounters is displayed under the Report menu when the property enable.bulk.signoff.encounter is turned on.

  • Period: This dropdown displays the following options:
        1. Today
        2. Yesterday
        3. This Week
        4. Last Week
        5. This Month
        6. Last Month
        7. This Quarter
        8. Last Quarter
        9. This Year
        10. Last Year
        11. First Quarter
        12. Second Quarter
        13. Third Quarter
        14. Fourth Quarter
        15. Custom Date
The user can also select a specific time period from the date fields displayed next to the Period dropdown. The From Date and Upto Date fields display calendar icons, and the user can select a date range by clicking these icons. By default, in both fields, today's date is selected.

  • Encounter Type: This dropdown displays a list of all the Encounter Types, including Zero Duration Encounters, defined in the Settings → Configuration → Clinic → Enc Types Master screen. By default, the option All is selected in the dropdown.

  • Appointment Location: This dropdown displays all the locations defined in the Settings → Configuration → Clinic → Locations Master screen. By default, the option All is selected in the dropdown.

  • Appointment Status: This dropdown displays all the appointment statuses from Arrived and above, including the custom statuses defined by the users. By default, the option All is selected in the dropdown.

  • Attending Provider: This dropdown and the values displayed in this dropdown are dependent on the property enc.close.onlybyattdoc.
        1. If the enc.close.onlybyattdoc property is turned on, and the logged-in user is of type DR, then the Attending Provider field is not displayed on the popup.

        2. If the enc.close.onlybyattdoc property is turned on and the logged-in user is not of type DR, then the Attending Provider field is displayed. However, a logged-in user other than a DR is not able to take any action on the report generated for the selected Attending Provider(s). The generated report is a view-only report, and a message is displayed in red and bold next to the Period field that reads, "Encounters can be closed only by Attending Providers."

        3. If the enc.close.onlybyattdoc property is turned off and the logged-in user is of type DR, then the Attending Provider field is displayed on the popup, and the logged-in user can run as well as take action on the generated report.

        4. If the enc.close.onlybyattdoc property is turned off and the logged-in user is not of type DR, then the Attending Provider field is displayed. However, if this clinic user has the Update Role assigned from the Settings → Configuration → Admin → Role screen and has access to close encounters, they can close the encounters by taking the sign-off action. In case this clinic user does not have the Update Role assigned or access to close encounters, then the checkboxes on the Complete/Sign-Off Encounters screen are disabled, and a message is displayed in red and bold next to the Period field that reads, "You do not have access to close encounters."
