Topics Resource Search:  
Introduction: A Resource can be any person for whom appointments can be scheduled. For example: Clinic Staff, Lab Technician, etc. But the Resource does not have the right to close the encounter. A Resource's information is saved in the Resource Master. It includes various information like Qualification, NPI, Specialty, Regn. No., etc., about the Resource.

Field Description:

Title: Select the title of the Resource. For example: Dr., Mr., Ms., Mrs.

*First Name: Enter the First Name of the Resource. This field is mandatory.

Middle Name: Enter the Middle Name of the Resource. You may keep this field blank.

*Last Name: Enter the Last Name of the Resource. This field is mandatory.

Date of Birth: Select the Date of Birth of the Resource from the Calendar . The user can even enter the Date of Birth manually in MM-DD-YYYY format.

Designation: Select the appropriate Designation of the Resource from the drop-down list. It can be Administrator, Receptionist, Nurse Practitioner, Physician, etc.

Specialty: Select the Specialty of the Resource in which the resource specializes from the drop-down list. For example: Surgeon, Dentist, Dermatology, Gynaecology, etc.

Sex: Select the Gender of the Resource from the drop-down list. The default value is 'Male'.

Regn. No.: Enter the 5- to 8-digit Registration Number of the Resource.

Qualification: Enter the Qualification of the Resource. For example: Nurse Practitioner, BDMS, Physician, etc.

External ID: Enter the External ID of the Resource. This ID is used for the exchange of data with a third party or application.

NPI: Enter the NPI code (National Provider Identifier) of the Resource. It is a 10-digit code which is used to identify the Resource. Click the NPI hyperlink to validate the entered NPI code from the Registry. If the entered NPI is valid then the information about the Resource will be displayed on the pop-up. However, if the NPI is invalid then an alert message, "No Records Found" will be displayed with blank data on the pop-up.

Address: Click the Address button to enter the address details of the Resource.

Shift Appt: Click the Shift Appt button to shift the appointments of the respective resource/provider to another resource/provider.

Signature: The signature is stored in the system as a '.gif' file. Click the Attachment icon to attach the signature of a Resource or click the View Attachment icon to view the attached signature of the Resource.

Not For Scheduling: When the checkbox is selected , appointments cannot be scheduled for the particular Resource.

For PP Scheduling: When the checkbox is selected , only then can appointments for the particular Resource be scheduled from PrognoCIS Portals (Patient Portal, Attorney Portal, Referring Provider Portal, and PrognoPass) and apps (Patient Portal App).

Appt Seqn: Enter the number where the name of the Resource should be displayed on the Provider drop-down list on the Appointment Schedule screen.

UDF: Click the UDF button (User Defined Fields) to add additional information associated with the Resource.

Active: When the checkbox is selected , the Resource becomes active and is available in all search lists.

Action Buttons:
Save: Click the Save button to save all the details of the Resource.

Reset: Click the Reset button to reset all the fields to their previously saved details.
