Resources can be equipment like a CT Scan or USG. This is specially provided in cases where there are multiple specialty doctors, and appointments can be for a type like Injury, Immunization, etc.

To provide this feature, actions need to be taken at multiple places.

• Resource Master - Settings > Configuration > Medics > Resources is a new menu option to define all resources.
• Resource Work Pattern Scheduling - The Appointments > Work Pattern option allows the user to define the work pattern for resources, too, besides doctors.
• Resource Appointments - On the Appointment Schedule screen, the Doctors List Box and the All Docs Radio Button provide a combined list of doctors and resources. Appointments can be scheduled for any one of them. The same consideration is also available for Block Time, the Appointment Confirm Pop-up, and the Advanced Search link in the Appointment Confirm Pop-up.

All doctors will see all the scheduled patients, and when one of the doctors clicks on the patient's name to go to the encounter, the Attending Doctor will change.

The user can mark an appointment as Arrived, even if it was scheduled for a resource. The corresponding appointment is started with the Attending Doc as the resource. If a provider clicks on the Patient Name hyperlink on the Home page (where the encounter is started), then the Encounter and Appointment Doc is changed from the resource to the provider.

As explained above, now a Vacation can be defined for resources, too, besides doctors.
