Introduction:

When Radiology results are receieved and entered by the Nurse, an alert is sent to the Doctor for approval. When the Doctor views the results, he could need a number of tasks to be performed approving the results entered. This action list needs to be communicated to the concern staff. The action could be e.g. Inform Patient immediately, repeat the tests.

Fields description:

Action: Select the required action from the list box. Actions can be defined under the Settings > Configuration > GroupTypes option.

Send Urgent Message: On the selection of this option, the recipent(s) to whom the message is addressed to gets a prompt of the 'Action' to be performed as soon as the recipeint user logs in. Also, the email sent shows the status as 'U' (Urgent) in the recipeint's Inbox.

To: Select to whom the message has to be sent; choose between Users and Roles, and the Search list displays the respective values. By default, the option: Users is selected. The ordering Doctor's assistant is shown by default, otherwise the attending nurse, otherwise any Nurse assigned to the Doctor.

Self: Select this option to send a copy of the email to your Inbox as well.

Inform Patient: Select this option to send a copy of the email to the patient to whom the lab order belongs to.

Note: This option is visible only if the clinic is having a patient portal.

Previous Notes: All relevant communication are tracked and the earlier entered details for the same Radiology result actions are displayed in this field. It is a read-only field and cannot be modified.

Notes: Type in the necessary messages or select standard messages by clicking on the search button.

Approve: The Radiology result from the main page will get approved if this is checked.

Send Message: If this is checked the message is sent in the form of an email to the receiver selected in the To field above.

Review: If this Check Box is checked then the content in the Notes Text Area gets added to the Rad Result Review.

Add to Patient Medical Records: If this Check Box is checked then the content in the Notes Text Area gets added to the Patient Records in Patient Notes.
