Topics Custom Messages Search:  
Custom messages are the User defined Messages  which can be used to extend the set of messages.
The system can on behalf of the Clinic send Custom messages (E.g. Season Greetings) by Emails or Text messages to all Patients. Patients having a valid Email ID saved in the system will only receive this message.


Field Description

Email: Select this radio button to compose an Email as per the requirement.
  • Subject: Enter the required Subject for the Email in this textbox field.
  • Message:
    1. This text Editor field contains the body of the message.
    2. Both normal text based Email and the HTML format Email can be composed in this Text Editor area.
Text Message: Select this radio button to compose Text Reminder as per the requirement.
  • Subject: This field is disabled for Text Messages.
  • Message:
    1. A User can enter required information in this Text area field and then click on the Ok button to save the changes.
    2. Text messages will have a limit of 405 characters. After every 130 characters, the User needs to add a line break by mentioning the keyword ^brk^ after the 130 characters.

    3. Note: This option is available only for those Users who have signed up for that service.
Patient Filter: On clicking this button, Patient Filter popup gets invoked. This popup contains a filter options as columns that serve as conditions which help User to send emails.
  • The first column contains Patient Details filters such as First name, last name, date of birth, gender, location etc.
  • On clicking each row, the list of filters gets displayed and User can select the required filter.
  • In the second column, the User is required to select filter matching criteria from the auto populate drop down list.
  • In the next column, User can enter required details of the patient according to the filter selected in the first column.
  • Once User clicks on the Ok button, the changes get saved for those selected patients which come under the applied filter.

  • For E.g.
  • Patient filter applied with Only 'Gender: Female'
  • State code: New Jersey

  • In this case, email will be sent to the Female Patients who are from New Jersey


    Action Buttons

    SEND: Click on this button to send the Email/ Text Message to the selected patients.
  • On clicking this button, if a User has composed a Text Message of 405 characters then following alert message gets displayed:

      "Maximum character limit (130 Characters/Message) for a single message exceeded.
      Note: To send multiple messages (upto 3 messages can be sent), include ^brk^ in message.
      E.g.: Message 1^brk^Message 2^brk^Message 3"

  • While sending an Email, Sender is notified with the total number of Patients receiving the respective Email in the form of the following alert message popup:

      "Email will be sent to <No. of Patients> patients. Click OK to send and CANCEL to go back."

      For E.g. Email will be sent to 1461 patients. Click OK to send and CANCEL to go back.

  • While sending a Text Message, Sender is notified with the the total number of Patients and Messages being sent in form of the following alert message popup:

    • "<No. of Messages> messages will be sent to < No. of Patients> patients. Click OK to send or Cancel to go back."

      For E.g. 26 messages will be sent to 26 patients. Click OK to send or Cancel to go back.

    CANCEL: Click on this button to close the pop-up. If some data is entered on the popup, then on click of this button, an alert message gets displayed as:

    ‘You have prepared message to be sent, you will lose drafted message if you close this pop-up. Do you want to continue?’
