| It is likely that the patient has called the front
office to report their health status as advised by the doctor, or to ask for
a refill. The front office would like to immediately send a message to the
doctor and, by exception (as in the case of Health Status Reporting), add it to
the Patient Medical Records. All this is feasible by entering the details
in this pop-up. To: Select the type of person to communicate with from the list box. Type: The Message Type is set to Telephonic by default. Name Search Button: Click this button to choose one or more persons of the selected type. The names selected will be displayed. The user does not need to remember the person's ID or email address. Reference Patient: If this box is invoked from the Appointment Schedule pop-up, the selected patient is shown here by default. In other cases, this field is set by default to the current encounter session. If there is no current encounter selected, the patient's name will be blank. In either case, the user can click the Search button or type in to select an alternate patient. Action: Select the required action from the list box. Actions can be defined under the Settings > Configuration > Group Types option. Due in Days: Enter the number of days when a response is expected. Subject: The Subject is mandatory. Message: A multi-line edit control for the message. Inform when Done: If this is checked, the message will remain open (pending action) until the recipient of the message acknowledges and closes the action. Add to Patient Medical Records Checkbox: This may be checked if the message needs to be added to the Patient Medical Records. Reply Button: Click this button when the user sends a 'Reply' to the message. It is identifiable by the indication icon Forward Button: Click this button to forward the message. It is identifiable by the indication icon OK Button: Sends the message. |
