Introduction:
The scheduled process Get Insurance Eligibility For Scheduled Appts (INS_ELIGIBILITY_4APPTS) is readily available on the EMR Scheduled Process Master screen
and is used for retrieving the eligibility of patients on the appointment list.
The output of this scheduled process is available under EMR side - Report → Tabular → Report Name: Eligibility Report for patients on schedule.
Following are the parameters to configure this scheduled process:
- Appointments of Next X Days:
Enter the number of future days for which eligibility needs to be run in advance.
- Compute if Eligibility is more than Y Days Old:
Enter the number of interval days after which eligibility needs to be fetched.
For example, consider that eligibility for a patient was last run on 1/10/2023, and the patient has their next appointment scheduled on 6/10/2023.
If this field has the parameters set as 10 days, then this patient will be considered when the scheduling process is run on 5/10/2023,
but the computation of the latest eligibility details will happen on the 10th day only.
- For Insurances:
Select the insurance type for which you want to fetch eligibility.
This dropdown displays two options: All and Primary.
Please select the insurance type for which you want to fetch eligibility.
If All is selected, then the scheduled process considers both Primary and Secondary payers.
If Primary is selected, then the scheduled process considers only the Primary payers.
