Introduction: The new NCPDP SCRIPT 2017071 has a subset of Potency code standards required to be implemented by September 1, 2021. These codes are the Bulk (Dispense) Units selected when creating a Prescription. Some of these units will be sunset and will not be available from 1-September-2021. When a Bulk Unit is selected in the Prescription, which shall not be available from 1-September-2021, a message is shown on the screen and the user is required to update the selected unit to the one which shall replace it, i.e. the Suggested Name of the selected Dispense Unit.
