| The list of all ICD codes is close to 15,000. Depending
on the specialty of the doctor, he is likely to use a very limited set. It
is possible to create a list of his preferred codes by selecting the required
ones from the complete list. This way, he gets to select a code from his
limited list. Of course, he always has the option to select a code from the
comprehensive list if required. This list can be created specifically for each doctor by going to the Settings > My Preferences > ICD option when the doctor has logged in. In clinics where all doctors are of the same specialty, it is possible to create a clinic-specific list of ICD codes by going to the Settings > Configuration > Clinic > Pref ICD option. This list is shared by all doctors, so that the common codes need to be selected only once. While assigning ICD codes in the Assessment of an encounter, the list of Doctor-Preferred + Clinic-Preferred ICD codes, along with the SNOMED and ICD10 codes, is shown together. Description [+]: Click [+] to invoke the ICD popup to choose the codes (ICD/SNOMED) to be assigned. It is mandatory to specify at least one of the three names given for the disease. The User Name will be used to specify this ICD code in PrognoCIS. Since the names are imported from the external CPT/HCPCS database, the user is allowed to change the name according to the user's nomenclature. ICD Search Popup:
