Topics My Preferences > HCPCS Search:
The list of all HCPCS codes is close to 15,000. Depending on the specialty of the doctor, he is likely to use a very limited set. It is possible to create a list of his preferred codes by selecting the required ones from the complete list. This way, he gets to select a code from his limited list. Of course, he always has the option to select a code from the comprehensive list if required.

This list can be created specific to each doctor by going to the Settings > My Preferences > HCPCS option when the doctor has logged in. In clinics where all doctors are of the same specialty, it is possible to create a clinic-specific list of HCPCS codes by going to the Settings > Configuration > Clinic > Pref HCPCS option. This list is shared by all doctors, so that common codes need to be selected only once.

While assigning HCPCS codes in the Assessment of an encounter, the list of Doctors Preferred + Clinic Preferred HCPCS along with the SNOMED and ICD-10 codes is shown together.
