Topics My Preferences > HCPC Search:
The list of all HCPC codes is close to 15000. Depending on the specialty of the Doctor he is likely to use a very limited set. It is possible to create a list of his preferred codes by selecting the required ones from the complete list. This way he gets to select a code from his limited list. Of course he always has an option to select a code from the comprehensive list if required.

This list can be created specific to each Doctor by going to Settings > My Preferences> HCPC option when the Doctor has logged in. In clinics where all Doctors are of the same specialty, it is possible to create a Clinic specific list of HCPC Codes by going to the Settings > Configuration > Clinic > Pref HCPC option. This list is shared by all Doctors, so that common codes need to be selected only once.

While assigning HCPC codes in Assessment of an encounter, the list of Doctors Preferred + Clinic Preferred HCPC along with the SNOMED and ICD10 codes are shown together.
