Introduction :
Insurance Card can be scanned using a device called Card Scanner. When a card is scanned, the Card Scan feature in PrognoCIS automatically pulls all the information of the Insurance card into the application. However, details can be entered manually as well. Field Description : Scanner: Select the Scanner from the drop down menu. On selecting the Scanner, if the Duplex scanner is connected to the system, then the information available on the Front and Back side of the Insurance Card is fetched and displayed on the screen. When the duplex canner is connected to the system then Scan button is displayed on the screen. Scan: Click to scan the card inserted into the scanner. On click of this button, the Front and Back image of the Insurance card is displayed under the Front and Back image section, also the Basic Details section is filled out as per th e information available on the Insurance card. If the Non-Duplex scanner is connected to the system, then Front and Back radio button is displayed on the screen. Front : Click if the side of the card to be scanned is front. Back : Click if the side of the card to be scanned is back. ![]() Basic Details: On selecting the Scanner from the Scanner drop down menu list the information available on the Insurance card is fetched and displayed in this section. The User can also manually enter the details in this section as per the requirement. Subscriber Id: Displays the Subscriber Id. which is provided by the Insurance Company when Patient or Subscriber opts for an Insurance policy. The subscriber Id when is added manually by the User then it should be mentioned as per the MBI standards. ![]()
Group Name : Displays the Group name of the Insurance. Subscriber Id : Displays the Subscriber Id of the Insurance. Effective Date : Displays the Effective date of the Insurance. Expiry Date : Displays the Expiry date of the Insurance. Save for Insurance Details: Select the option to update the scanned card's Insurance details on the Insurance popup. By default the checkbox is selected. Front Image: Select the option to update the Insurance card's Front Image on the Insurance popup. By default this checkbox is selected. Back Image: Select the option to update the Insurance card's Back Image on the Insurance popup. By default this checkbox is selected. Image Rotate functionality is provided for card scan to rotate the attached image. These Rotate icons: Rotate Right 90°: Click to rotate the scanned image to the right. Rotate Left 90°: Click to rotate the scanned image to the left. Rotate 180°: Click to rotate the scanned image upto 180°. Action buttons: CANCEL button ![]() OK button |
