| A Patient very often calls up the Doctor to request
for a specific Drug/s Refill. On selecting this option it will prompt the
user to select a specific patient. It tries ensures that there is no live
encounter for the selected Patient. It now creates a new encounter with
Run Date and Encounter Type as Refill. It then goes to CPOE Rx to create
a Prescription. CPOE Rx has an option wherein the Doctor can view/select
Drugs prescribed to the Patient earlier. This makes Ordering a Refill easier.
It is likely that the Doctor would also like to add a supplementary Drug
like an Antacid. After the Prescription is Saved, on Approve the Refill
Encounter is automatically closed. |
