2.3 Block time can be SET in 5 minutes time slots

Clinics can now block Provider’s appointment schedule time in 5 minutes time slots. Refer to figure 2.3

Figure 2.3: Block time in 5 minutes timeslot

Note: The feature is role-based; create a role, ‘BlockTime’ and assign the role to specific users who should avail the functionality.

2.4 Work pattern can be defined in 5 minutes slots

  • It is possible to define a provider’s work pattern in 5 minutes time slots. Refer to figure 2.4

Figure 2.4: Define provider's work pattern in 5 minutes timeslot

  • The feature is property based. An hour is possibly divided into 12 slots, the property: work.pattern.slots_per_hour is defined with the number of slots per hour. The accepted values for the property are 2, 3, 4, 6, and 12.

2.5 Appointment Call List can now be viewed based on Clinic’s location

It is possible to view appointment Call List for appointments that are ‘To Be Rescheduled’ or ‘To Be Confirmed’ based on Clinic’s location(s). Refer to figure 2.5

Figure 2.5: Call List viewed as per Clinic's Location

2.6 Selection of Insurance related ‘Pre-Auth Numbers’ while scheduling an appointment for a patient is now possible

  • It is now possible to select a patient’s Insurance Pre-Auth number at the time of scheduling an appointment itself; a hyperlink: Pre Auth has been added to the screen: Appointment Schedule which in turn invokes a pop-up: Pre Auth. Refer to figure 2.6

Figure 2.6: The pop-up: Pre Auth displays the list of Pre-Auth numbers available with the patient

  • On selection of a Pre Auth number from the pop-up it becomes available on the appointment schedule screen. Refer to figure 2.6
2.7 Availability of Patient Alert for display can be controlled with a newly introduced property

The Patient Alert SET by users at times did not have the ‘Upto Date’ specified. This led to the alert being invoked and displayed for a longer period of time in the application - even when it wasn’t required.

Now, a new property, patient.alert.hide.afterdays would take care of such Patient Alerts, the property takes in numeric value as in - number of days. Suppose if the value entered is ‘3’ then the system considers the date when the alert was created and also the property value and exactly after 3 days hides the patient alert or stops the alert from displaying – this is true for all users.

2.8 Property added to consider Previous Encounter of same type

New property, progressnote.lastenc4same.enctype is provided which if set to Y considers the previous encounter of same ‘Type’ for the patient.

Let’s consider a scenario wherein in a multi-specialty Clinic a patient is seen by more than one provider of different specialty. Each provider examining the patient starts separate encounters for the same patient with specialty specific Encounter Type and on the same date. If the property, progressnote.lastenc4same.enctype has been enabled then the Progress Notes for newer encounter would consider previous encounter of same ‘type’ rather than that of last visit encounter.

It also means that the last encounter tags considered in Progress Notes are the tags that of last encounter ‘type’. For example, the tag: LASTENC_VT_TBL will print the vitals from the most recent encounter with the same "encounter type"

2.9 New Tags added in the version

Following is table displaying the newly added tags with the respective description

PT_ESAPPT__ID

Prints the earliest scheduled Appointment Date Time for the Patient

PT_ESAPPT__DOC

Prints the earliest scheduled Appointment Doctor's name for the Patient
