1 Introduction

These release notes describe the new features in PrognoCIS™.


1.1 Disclaimer of Warranty

This software and documentation is subject to and made available only pursuant to the terms of Bizmatics Inc. License Agreement and may be used or copied only in accordance with the terms of that agreement. It is against the law to copy the software except as specifically allowed in the agreement. 1.2 Purpose

The PrognoCIS (Build # 42) release has some new features and modules.

2 About This Release

This release is provided to customer who would be using Bizmatic’s PrognoCIS product.


3 Feature Summary for PrognoCIS™ Release

3.1 EMR


3.1.1 Patient Registration


3.1.1.1 Language

Added an option to enter patient’s language on patient’s registration screen. Text box is added to enter the patient’s language.

3.1.1.2 Medical History Consent

Provided an option to verify whether patient’s consent is taken or not for patient’s medical history verification. On patient registration screen drop down is added under “Other Info” tab to select the suitable option.

3.1.1.3 Patient Registration History

Added an option to view the history of patient’s demographic changes. History button is added on patient registration screen. On click of history button, history page is displayed with following information:

- Name of the person who made the changes

- Date and time when changes are made

- Old value & new modified values

3.1.1.4 Deny Access

Added an option to deny access to providers for specific patients. On click of “Deny Access” popup is displayed with a list of providers available in the clinic. User is allowed to select providers from the list for deny access.

3.1.1.5 DOB with HH:MM

Provided an option to select HH:MM along with Date of Birth on patient registration screen.

3.1.2 Allergy


3.1.2.1 Allergy Status

Provided options to mark allergy as Active, Inactive, Existing, Recovered, and Erroneous on Allergy screen.

3.1.2.2 Allergy History

Provided an option to view patient’s allergy history. Added History button on Allergy screen. History page displays the allergy details till date.

3.1.2.3 Date of entry of Allergy

On Allergy screen, provided an option to display date on which allergy was added in encounter.

3.1.3 Vaccination


3.1.3.1 Admin Time

On vaccination screen, added an option to enter admin time of vaccine.

3.1.3.2 Quantity/Dosage

On vaccination screen, vaccine Quantity is renamed to Dosage/Quantity.

3.1.3.3 Comment/Reaction

On vaccination screen, comment is renamed to Comment/Reaction

3.1.4 Progress Note

Added a tag “ENC_FACE__SHEET__REVIEWEDBYDT” to display reviewed face sheet items along with user who has reviewed and the date time on progress note.

3.1.5 PMH History

Added History button on PMH screen to view PMH history. History page displays the information about PMH till date.

3.1.6 Lab import Log

An option is provided to view import log across the location. If the user is assigned to multiple locations, then all those locations will be available in the location dropdown. Added “All” option in the dropdown that will allow user to see all the locations to which user is registered.

3.1.7 Associate supervising provider Signature


1) Provided an option to define supervising provider for medics if required.

2) Added a tag “ENC_ADREVIEWER$” to display supervising providers details. If “ENC_ADREVIEWER$” tag will be selected on progress note then supervising providers credentials will be displayed on progress note irrespective of whether the encounter is reviewed or not.

3.1.8 Addendum Note Message

Added a provision to send addendum notes message to attending doc. Message will be sent only in case if user is other than attending doc. Message will contain Patient name, Encounter date and only his added addendum notes

3.1.9 Clear option on Patient/Doctor form

Added a provision to clear already filled patient/doctor form.

3.1.10 Color Coding for patient/doctor form

Provided an option to display previously used patient/doc form with yellow color and current patient/doc form with green color for the same patient.

3.1.11 Add/Delete Appointment

Rights to add & delete appointments are added on master of Roles.

3.1.12 Sequence of doctors Appointment Schedule

1) Provided an option to define the sequence of provider and resources to be displayed on appointment schedule screen under “All Doc” drop down in “View” mode. Sequence can be defined in Provider’s & Resources master. Accordingly provider’s & resource name will be displayed on Appointment > Schedule > All doc Radio button.

2) Provided an option to define user defined view to display providers and resources on Appointment schedule all doc mode.

3.1.13 Check All Face sheet cells

Provided an option to check all face sheet cells in one click. button is added to check entire face sheet cell. User can configure the position of check all button, by default it is displayed in last cell on the last used face sheet. On click of “Check All” it will automatically mark all the face sheets items.

3.1.14 Paste ICD search on Patient/Doctor form

An option is added to view and multi select previously used ICD codes from patient/doc form.

3.1.15 CC list display to the receiver


Added an option to display CC list also in received message.

3.1.16 Home page filter

Provided filter button under Appointment Tab on home page. Clicking on filter will give a popup with following filter options: Provider, Location (only for single location setup), Appointment type & Appointment Status. Along with Provider and Location, Appointment type & Status will be also remembered for the logged in user.

3.1.17 Check Out error message failures

On receiving the acknowledgements now failure and success messages will be displayed under Import Log option location wise.

3.1.18 In-house only drugs

Provided an option to define drug as “In-house” only. Marked In-house Only drugs wont be available in the list of drugs originates from + sign on Prescription screen.

3.1.19 CPT/HCPC association to Specialty > Elements > Values

Provided an option to associate CPT, HCPC & modifiers for every set of values & multi select value of elements on Specialty. It will be automatically added in to the Assessment if user will execute the test in the encounter directly as well as from doctor forms.

3.1.20 Current Medication


3.1.20.1 All Current Medication

On current medication screen an option is provided to view all patient’s medication information. On select of “All” information on patient’s current medication & prescription till date will be displayed.

3.1.20.2 Old Med

On current medication screen an option is provided to view information of past encounter prescribed drugs to patient. Also added a check box “Add to Rx” to add drugs directly to prescription screen.

3.1.20.3 Mark a drug “Over”

On current medication screen, added an option to mark a drug as “Over” in case patient is no longer taking the drug.

3.1.21 Prescription


3.1.21.1 CM button

On Prescription screen, provided button to invoke current medication screen.

3.1.21.2 Properties


Following new properties are added for prescription:

- rx.nlt.direction.days: On prescription screen, if substitute is checked, then property will work as per the value set in the property. Following values can be set:

1. Blank
2. FD: Displays For xxx days under direction
3. DD: Displays Dispense xxx days under direction

- rx.lt.direction.days: On prescription screen, if Long term is checked, then property will work as per the value set in the property. Following values can be set:

1. Blank
2. FD: Displays For xxx days under direction
3. DD: Displays Dispense xxx days under direction

- rx.default.longterm: If set to Y, by default Long Term will be checked on Prescription screen

- rx.default.substitute: If set to Y, by default Long Term will be checked on Prescription screen

- rx.direction.freqby: Frequency in direction will be displayed as per the value set in the property. Following code can be set:

1. N: Name

2. C: Code

3.1 Billing


3.1.1 Accident/Normal Template

User has a flexibility to print add or remove box 14 information for accident and normal template respectively.

3.1.2 Accident/Normal Template

On patient insurance screen, an option is provided to enter more than one Pre-Authorization Number. A button is provided to invoke a Pre-Authorization pop up. User can enter multiple preauthorization numbers. Information related to first preauthorization number entered will be displayed on the patient insurance screen after save. If the same insurance with multiple preauthorization numbers is selected on the Claim screen, then the preauthorization label will be hyperlinked to invoke a popup with one list Box which will display all the defined preauthorization numbers. User can select one from the list.

3.1.3 CMS 1500 Printing

On patient’s insurance screen if user select relation as Self in case of Worker Comp then while printing address on CMS 1500 PrognoCIS will smartly print the, the Employers Address entered on Patient’s Registration screen.

In case of Workers Comp Insurance:


o XXX_INS_SUBS__NAME tag will print Employer Name as defined on Patient Registration screen
o INS_SUBS__ADDR tag will print Patient’s Employers Address
o INS_SUBS__RELN will be “Others”

3.1.4 Remittance

On Remittance screen, now user can edit the Insurance Adjusted column if required.

3.1.5 CPT/HCPC Follow up Days

Provided an option to define follow up days for CPT/HCPC. Option is available on CPT & HCPC master.

3.1.6 Insurance

For Workers Compensation, the first Insurance selected in the claim MUST be of the Status Work Comp. The Secondary can be of any Status.
