Multiple attachment of Lab/Radiology results now supported |
• At times Lab/Radiology results are awaited 3-4 weeks after the patient has undergone a test, thus it is possible that results may arrive at different times for the same Lab/Radiology Order and may require to be attached to the same order of patient. • Considering such scenarios, PrognoCIS now supports multiple ( maximum 5 ) attachments of Lab/Radiology results. Refer to the following figure Figure 9.1 • Navigation : GoTo tab: CPOE → Lab Results/Radiology Results → tab: Attach → Attach button. User can click on the attach button and attach attachments for the selected Lab/Radiology Order multiple times (maximum 5). Individual deletion of attachments too is possible. A new property, prognocis.attach.labrad.maxdays has been added that keeps a check on the maximum No. of days that the Order (Lab/Radiology) should be kept open for User to attach results. Maximum value for the property is of 90 days. • The visibility of such Lab/Radiology Orders in Search depends upon the condition that if an Order already has a maximum of 5 attachments and the ordered date with respect to the current date is less than 90 days then the Order will not be visible in any of the Order searches. |

• User now has an option to specify a printer that would be specifically be used for printing Prescriptions on Rx paper from PrognoCIS. • All that a User needs to do is set the newly added property, rx.default.printer with the appropriate values as listed out in the following table:
Limitations: i. There is a dependent property, allow.directprint.rx and i t is important to SET its value as ‘Y' ii. The functionality is browser dependent – specifically Internet Explorer Active X has to be enabled in the browser Cookies should be allowed - if User happens to delete cookies then the configured User preferred settings would be lost; cookies are machine specific. Enable the option: Script Active X controls marked as safe for scripting from Internet Options found under Tools tab in Internet Explorer ( GoTo Tools → Internet Options → Security Lab → Trusted Site → Custom Level → Active X controls and Plugins → enable the option: Script Active X controls marked as safe for scripting )

Refer to the following figure Figure 13.1
Note: Measure number has been appended with measure name on ARRA dashboard Encounter Dashboard will be available to the Users under following conditions: ✔ Encounter type is not in Exempted Enc types. ✔ Patient is not marked for Exempt from Reporting. ✔ Patient satisfies the Age criteria of a given measure. PrognoCIS now satisfies Core Set: Measure 12 of Meaningful Use. In other words, it means that system is now able to provide patients with an electronic copy of their health information (including diagnostics test results; problem lists; medication lists; and medication allergies) upon request. PrognoCIS now supports eLab for Quest, lab orders can now be exported directly to Quest and results from QUEST can be directly imported into our System – i.e. support for bi-directional Interface. A direct Communication with Quest Server is done by using Web services (Care360 Hub). The process: User enters Lab Order for Quest from the Lab Order screen → Clicks on the eLab button → the Lab Order is processed by Quest and if the order requires an ABN (Advance Beneficiary Notice) to be sent and confirmation to be taken then system prompts the User with an alert, “This lab has an ABN generated, please get it signed by the Patient and get it printed by clicking on ABN” → ABN button is enabled and the User clicks on ABN button to take a print and takes Patient's consent for further processing of the Lab order → If patient agrees then User clicks on the eLab button again and the Lab Order is processed. Rendering Provider can now be assigned on Start of an Encounter |
A drop-down list: Rendering Provider is now available for Users to select the Rendering Provider for the encounter at the start of an encounter itself. Refer to the following figure The lists of Providers appearing in the list are of that of medics who have already being defined as a Rendering Provider from Providers screen ( GoTo tab: Settings → Configuration → Medics → Providers (Master) → field: Rendering Doc ) Figure 19.1 Consider the following cases: Case I: The checkbox: Non Billing if is checked for the Provider record by User logged in from ‘admin' login then that particular Provider's name would not appear in Rendering Doc list (found on Start/Edit Encounter screen). Case II: If the field: Rendering Doc is left blank for a Provider record then that Provider name would appear in the Rendering Doc list found on Start/Edit encounter screen. AND if the checkbox: Non Billing has NOT been checked for the Provider record then that particular Provider's name would not appear in Rendering Doc list (found on Start/Edit Encounter screen). Case III: After an encounter has been started then from Edit Encounter screen, if the Attending Doc is changed then immediately the above rules related to Start Encounter will apply and appropriately Rendering Doc will be populated or kept BLANK. And if the Rendering Doc is changed, by selecting another Rendering Doc from the list then the newly selected Rendering Doc would be associated or saved even if the provider was not the original Rendering Doc associated to the attending doc on the Medics screen. Case IV: On close of an encounter if the encounter does not have a Rendering doc selected then User is prompted to do so. And on close of an encounter the field remains unavailable for any changes. Case V: If the Sync property (sync as in from EMR to Billing mode) is ON and on Claim screen if the Rendering Doc is changed (on I button) then the corresponding field ‘Rendering Doc' on EMR side too would be changed. But it largely depends on whether the encounter is closed or not and also if the property for sync is set to Y or L. |
